Our community mission: "CTBK encourages its staff to give back to the community in which we live by giving their time and energy to help local charities.  Not only will staff be helping those in need, but they will also achieve personal satisfaction and fulfillment by helping others."

CTBK is locally-owned and operated so it's very important to us to support and give back to our community.  We like to think of ourselves as a modest firm, but we are so proud of how our caring partners and staff help others that we want to share it with everyone.

Many of our professionals sit on boards and volunteer their time to organizations that are important to them.  Not only does our firm encourage our staff to be active in the community, we have created a means for our staff to give back as a group through our Helping Hands Committee.  Our committee provides volunteer opportunities with various organizations throughout the year.

Heart, Love and Soul

Every year, Heart, Love & Soul, located in Niagara Falls, provides the items to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for those in need. We are proud to have been a part of this community effort for the past 6 years.  Our Helping Hands crew donates our manpower to help ensure over 300 families have food to prepare a Thanksgiving meal.  On November 21, 2014, our team went to the Heart, Love & Soul facility to help prep and hand out canned and boxed foods, snacks, fruit, turkey and chicken.

Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center

The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC) provides a Premier Accredited Therapeutive Riding Program to Western New York children with special needs to develop social, emotional, physical and educational skills.  Annually, the BTRC hosts the Buffalo International Horse Show (BIHS) to benefit these riding programs.  On August 29th, our Helping Hands crew spent the day painting the indoor riding facility to prepare for the hundreds of BIHS spectators.

Compass House

Compass House is dedicated to providing runaway, homeless, and street youth with safe shelter and services, through voluntary and mutually agreed-upon process, in an environment that supports dignity, respect and self-reliance.  On July 18th, our Helping Hands team spent the day barbequing at the Compass House.  During the barbeque, we visited with and cooked for guests at the House.

Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden is a living museum dedicated to advancing appreciate for and knowledge of plant life and its connection to people and cultures through its documented living plant collection, historic conservatory, education, research and exhibits. On June 27th, our Helping Hands volunteers worked on horticulture and landscaping to help beautify the garden.

Heart, Love and Soul

Heart, Love, and Soul (H&S) is dedicated to feeding those in need and providing opportunities to improve their quality of life. Each year, H&S provides the items to prepare a Thanksgiving meal to those in need. For the past 5 years, our Helping Hands committee has been volunteering at H&S to donate the manpower necessary to complete this much needed community service. On November 22nd, we prepared and distributed the canned goods, fruit, meat and other items to those coming in for their meal.

Kids Escaping Drugs

Kids Escaping Drugs is dedicated to raising, managing and distributing funds for the development and support of facilities, community education, and advocacy programs for adolescents and their families in Western New York suffering from alcohol and drug dependency/addiction. On August 16th, our committee headed out to the Erie County Fair to volunteer with Kids Escaping Drugs at their booth.

Niagara County SPCA

Niagara County SPCA is dedicated to preventing cruelty to all animals, to help educate the public on the humane treatment of animals and to provide love and care for those companion animals with whom we come in contact.  Our Helping Hands team went to the Niagara County SPCA to help the center get ready for their annual “Dog Days of Summer” event in August 2013. Our crew did a lot of behind the scenes set up to help the organization prepare for this event.
