CTBK Begins a New Year with Four New Partners.

The new year starts with an exciting announcement for CTBK, as we celebrate the admission of four new Partners to the Partnership. These new Partners have showcased their dedication and excellence, leaving a profound mark on our clients, colleagues, and the communities we serve. Their embodiment of our firm’s values is evident through their outstanding client service and their role as mentors and supporters within the firm. It is with great pride that we announce Adam Ferrante, Thomas Schwartz, Katie Sivic, and Zachary Wagner’s promotion to Partner.

Adam Ferrante, CPA – Adam started his career at CTBK in 2012. He provides audit, attest, and consulting services for businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and various service industries. In addition, Adam has experience auditing Chapter 13 Standing Trustees for the United States Trustee Program. He also has due diligence and transaction support experience regarding mergers and acquisitions. Adam serves as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors at the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club. Adam earned an MBA in Accounting from Canisius College and currently resides in Wheatfield with his wife and two children.

Thomas Schwartz, CVA, CEPA – Tom is a member of CTBK’s Transaction & Valuation Services team where he provides business valuation, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, and exit planning services to individuals, business owners, and stakeholders. Tom currently manages some of the firm’s most complex and technical valuation engagements and has extensive experience in preparing valuations of privately held businesses, including venture capital and start-up enterprises, private equity investments, as well as equity-based compensation vehicles. In the community, Tom serves as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors at BestSelf Behavioral Health, Western New York’s largest community-based mental health services provider. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in finance and economics from St. John Fisher University. He resides in North Buffalo with his wife, Angela, and two children.

Katie Sivic, CPA – Katie joined CTBK as a staff accountant in 2007. Before rejoining CTBK in 2019, Katie spent 4 years working at a financial advising firm, handling trust and high-net-worth individual taxes while also advising clients on tax planning. As a Tax Partner, Katie specializes in business, trust, and personal tax for clients in a variety of industries including operating businesses, insurance companies, professional services, and real estate. Katie leads the CTBK tax training committee and is an active participant in CTBK’s internal volunteering committee. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University and a Master of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University. She currently resides in Clarence Center with her husband and three kids.

Zachary Wagner, CPA – Wagner, who started his career at CTBK in 2009, rejoined the firm in 2023 as Integrator after spending six years at a local Manufacturing company as their Controller and most recently, General Manager. As Integrator, Wagner oversees all operations of the firm while leading CTBK in achieving annual and long-term goals. Zachary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University at Buffalo. A native of Tonawanda, he currently resides in Wheatfield with his wife and two kids.
